The Flat Sheet Dryer is a specialized drying unit manufactured by Shandong Annimet Instrument Co., Ltd. to complement various laboratory sheet formers. It is widely used in pulp and paper research as well as tobacco sheet drying. The unit features a flat-bed design with a precision-ground heating plate measuring 600 × 350 mm and a breathable heat-resistant fabric top cover weighing approximately 23 kg. During drying, the weight of the cover applies a constant pressure to the handsheet, effectively preventing curling and wrinkling while enhancing physical properties such as tensile strength and surface smoothness. The dryer is equipped with a 1500 W full-size evenly distributed heating element and a digital temperature controller that maintains temperatures from ambient to 180°C with a stability of ≤±1°C. Steam generated during drying is rapidly vented, and the device accommodates sample thicknesses from 0 to 15 mm.
