Product Introduction
The Heated blade coater uses a flatbed contact coating principle with an integrated bottom heating system. A precision blade spreads the coating fluid uniformly onto the substrate to form a wet film, while the bottom heating system maintains a stable temperature, ensuring good fluidity of high-viscosity or heat-sensitive slurries and enabling direct drying after coating. The adjustable blade offers micrometer-scale gap setting with 0.001 mm resolution, thickness range 0-10 mm, and dry film uniformity ≤1.5 μm. A high-performance motor with dual-rail ball screw drive ensures linear motion and speed stability. The 5-inch touchscreen allows intuitive setting of speed, stroke, and heating temperature, combined with weight or lever pressure systems for precise quantifiable control of coating pressure and temperature.

FAQ
1. What is the difference between the heated blade coater and a standard blade coater?
The heated version adds a bottom heating system to the standard blade coater, allowing temperature control during coating to maintain fluidity and enabling direct drying after coating. It is suitable for high-viscosity or heat-sensitive materials.
2. How to choose between adjustable blade and four-sided blade?
The adjustable blade is ideal for flexible thickness setting with 0.001 mm precision; the four-sided blade offers multiple fixed thicknesses for quick switching. Both can be selected as needed.
3. How uniform is the bottom heating temperature?
The integrated heating plate provides ±2.5°C temperature uniformity within an effective width of 300 mm and length of 400 mm, ensuring consistent coating and drying.
4. What substrates can be coated?
Compatible with aluminum foil, copper foil, separators (non-woven), PET films, and other flexible substrates. Mechanical clips and non-woven clamps securely fix various substrates.
5. What is the maximum heating temperature?

The bottom heating temperature range is from room temperature to 200°C, adjustable based on material requirements. Heating power is 2500W for rapid heating and precise control.
6. How is the dry film uniformity ≤1.5 μm achieved?
It is guaranteed by the ultra-flat mold steel plate (≤±2.5 μm), precision adjustable blade (0.001 mm resolution), and stable linear coating system. Actual film thickness also depends on slurry properties, but the machine provides the highest baseline precision.

Heated blade coating is an important method for precise laboratory sample preparation, particularly suited for high-viscosity or heat-sensitive materials such as lithium-ion battery slurries, perovskite precursors, and hot-melt adhesives. Traditional blade coaters operate at room temperature, which may cause insufficient fluidity and uneven coating for certain slurries. The heated blade coater integrates a bottom heating system, enabling coating at a set temperature to improve slurry leveling and coating uniformity, and allows direct drying after coating, simplifying post-processing. This equipment is widely used in new energy, chemical, and materials science fields, serving as a critical tool for quantifiable, repeatable coating sample preparation in R&D and QC.
